It feels good to be back.

Not back as in starting from scratch, but back as in doing what I’ve always loved: talking sports, telling stories, and sharing my perspective—not from the perch of some self-proclaimed “expert,” but from the bleachers, the tailgate, the press box, and yes, the couch. I’m a fan first, a storyteller second, and somewhere in between, a student of the craft. I’ve been a radio co-host, a columnist, a journalism student, and now, I’m bringing it all together here—on my terms, in my space, without roadblocks.

I’m a proud University of Colorado Boulder alum (once a Will Vill resident, always a Will Vill resident) with a Bachelor’s in Psychology, and a Master’s in Political Science from CU Denver. I stormed the Folsom Field turf after the legendary 62–36 beatdown of Nebraska in 2001, and I watched the Buffs basketball program claw its way into the NCAA tournament during my time on campus. Black and gold runs deep in my veins—though my sports loyalties are a little more… complicated.

You see, I came to Colorado in 1987 from Springfield, Virginia, just as my Washington Redskins (yes, my Redskins) beat the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XXII. I’ve been a Washington Commanders fan ever since. But Denver has a way of converting you. The Mile High Magic, John Elway’s grit, Steve Atwater’s bone-crushing hits—they all hooked me. I’ve been blessed (and sometimes cursed) to witness Broncos moments in person: “The Fumble,” Rahim Moore’s heartbreak in 2012, Tebow to DT in overtime glory, Manning outdueling Brady in the 2015 AFC Championship, and most recently, Pat Surtain II’s 100-yard pick-six this past season to snap the losing streak against the Raiders.
